In the near future, Tuan Anh will return to wear the Vietnamese national team jersey to participate in the AFF Cup 2016. |
After more than seven months playing for Yokohama FC, Tuan Anh finally scored his first goal, with a high jump and a technical header into the top corner in the 101st minute. That was the situation that sealed the score at 3-2, helping coach Hitochi Nakata's team advance.
In addition to the above goal, Tuan Anh also brought Yokohama a penalty kick in the 67th minute. Thanks to that, Ibba Laajab equalized 2-2 for the away team.
“I am extremely excited because this is the first goal I have scored for Yokohama. It is wonderful,” Tuan Anh shared after the match with a radiant face. “After the match, I felt a bit tired. But because the home team won, that feeling came too quickly. I hope I will perform well in the future.”
Tuan Anh joined Yokohama in February 2016, on a one-year loan from HAGL. This is only the second time he has been in the official squad of the Japanese Second Division team, both in the Emperor's Cup. With an impressive performance in this match, he hopes to win the trust of new coach Hitochi Nakata, to have the opportunity to play in J-League 2.
