North Central Heritage Tourism Culture Week 2011
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee will introduce the culture, history, landscapes, and heritages of special value of the locality.
With the theme “North Central Coast Heritage Tourism Culture Week in Hanoi 2011” from November 21-23, the 7th Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day – Returning to the Source Day on November 23 will take place at the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts. This is an activity to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23, practically aiming at the event of the National Tourism Year of the North Central Coast - Hue 2012.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the participation of 6 provinces in the North Central region: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue. This is also the opening activity in the propaganda and promotion of a series of activities organized throughout 2012 in the North Central region with the aim of helping domestic people and international friends understand more about the value of the North Central Cultural Heritage, attract international tourists and promote domestic tourism. At the same time, affirming strengths and potentials, contributing to promoting the growth of tourist sources and promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam.

During the event, the Exhibition “Impressions of Cultural Heritage of North Central Vietnam” will take place. The exhibition will introduce the culture, history, landscapes, and heritages of the North Central region with typical characteristics and special values of the locality: World Cultural Heritage of Ho Dynasty Citadel, Tay Do Nam Giao Altar (Thanh Hoa), Lotus Village - Homeland of President Ho Chi Minh (Nghe An), Great Poet Nguyen Du Memorial Site (Ha Tinh), World Natural Heritage of Phong Nha Ke Bang (Quang Binh), Quang Tri Ancient Citadel historical site, Hue Ancient Capital World Cultural Heritage Complex... through images, artifacts, publications, models, maps, excerpts, world heritage certificates, videos, sounds, noises, folk song performances, traditional ethnic musical instruments at the exhibition area.
In particular, at the Ha Tinh exhibition booth, the largest and heaviest Kieu calligraphy book (1.2m x 1.6m, 75kg), the longest Kieu calligraphy book and photos of Ha Tinh's typical heritages will be displayed. At the exhibition area, there will also be activities such as ca tru screening, calligraphy writing, Kieu fortune telling, introducing 12 films about heritage, tourism, folk songs of Ha Tinh and giving away 300 photo books "Ha Tinh typical heritages" and 300 DVDs of "Ha Tinh heritage tourism" to visitors.
In addition to the exhibition areas introducing traditional craft villages and famous products of the North Central region, the Organizing Committee also has an exhibition area for cultural and tourism products. This area also introduces famous tours of Vietnam and especially promotes the content of the program of activities of the North Central Tourism Year 2012./.
