Exciting preparations for “Buddhist Cultural Week 2012” in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - The first "Buddhist Cultural Week" held in Nghe An will take place from August 12 to 18, 2012 at the following locations: Provincial Labor Culture House, Central Park, Nghe An Guest House, Dai Tue Pagoda and Can Linh Pagoda.
This is the largest Cultural Week ever organized. Up to this point, the Organizing Committee is urgently completing the final stages of preparation. The Buddhist Cultural Week takes place with many rich activities such as offering flowers to report achievements to Uncle Ho at Ho Chi Minh Square; photo exhibition with the theme: "Vietnamese Pagoda", "Convergence of 3 regions" at the Labor Culture House; "Rose on the lapel" festival at Dai Tue Pagoda; Lantern Festival to pray for national peace and prosperity at Central Park; giving bicycles, building charity houses for people in difficult circumstances... In particular, the opening ceremony of "Buddhist Cultural Week" with the theme "Nghe An Buddhism accompanies the nation" will take place at the Provincial Labor Culture House at 4:30 pm on Sunday, August 12, 2012.
