Exciting Spring Newspaper Festival and Vietnam Poetry Day in Quynh Luu

(Baonghean.vn) - On February 10, at the district cultural center, the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district held a ceremony to celebrate the 15th Vietnam Poetry Day and the Dinh Dau Spring Newspaper Festival 2017.

This year’s Dinh Dau Spring Newspaper Festival in Quynh Luu District has the participation of 34 wall newspapers and 34 magazines. Of which, 31 are from communes and towns and 3 are from poetry clubs. The literary and artistic works participating in this Spring Newspaper Festival include 602 articles by nearly 500 authors, including 27 prose pieces, 522 poems, 21 couplets, 24 paintings and some humorous stories, puzzles, and crossword puzzles.

The Organizing Committee highly appreciated the quality and richness of the content of the entries this year, including love for the homeland and country, praise for the Party and Uncle Ho, examples of good people, good deeds, good workers, family affection, love between couples; criticism of bad habits; attack on backward customs and superstitions.

In addition, many wall newspapers also mentioned and reflected topical issues of politics, economy, culture and society of the year in the country as well as in the locality such as Welcoming the success of the 12th National Party Congress; Election of People's Councils at all levels, the issue of sovereignty over seas and islands and the joint efforts and consensus to build new rural areas in each locality.

At the ceremony, in addition to poetry reading, poetry recitation, and exchanges with writers, poets, and poetry lovers inside and outside the district, the Organizing Committee honored groups and individuals who have made many contributions to the local cultural, artistic, and information and propaganda movements./.
