According to Minister Vu Huy Hoang, the current world oil and gas prices are complicated and tend to increase, significantly affecting Vietnam's economy. Therefore, in the first quarter, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade adjusted gasoline prices up twice, but up to now, there is still no plan for further increases.
Currently, to ensure the supply and demand of gasoline in the coming time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to coordinate and direct solutions to maintain stable production of Dung Quat Oil Refinery, along with strengthening the work of ensuring foreign currency sources for key gasoline import enterprises.
Up to now, according to information from the representative of Dung Quat Oil Refinery, the factory has returned to stable operation at 100% capacity. With stable operation, this April, the factory will produce 430 thousand tons of various types of gasoline and oil to supply the market.
In addition, according to reports from key petroleum trading enterprises, the supply of petroleum in April was basically sufficient to supply the market. Therefore, in the near future, there will certainly not be a shortage.
Previously, on April 4, many people in many provinces in the Central Highlands rushed to buy gasoline to stockpile, due to false information that gasoline prices would increase to 25,000 VND/liter.
