Anh Son District Youth Union in collaboration with the Young Doctors Club examined and provided free medicine to people in O O and Gia Hop villages, Tuong Son commune.

The District Youth Union proactively coordinated with the Young Doctors Club of Anh Son district to organize free medical examinations and medicine distribution for people in 2 villages of O O and Gia Hop in Tuong Son commune for 300 subjects including the elderly, children, and people in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 20 million VND; coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union to organize medical examinations and medicine distribution for 500 subjects in Thanh Son commune; visited and presented 15 gifts to policy families and supported 22 patients in Thanh Son to have free eye surgery in Vinh city; trained 100 women on nutrition and instructed hand washing with soap for 300 preschool students of Thanh Son Primary School.

During the first 6 months of the year, the Youth Union organized 6 "Bowls of Love Porridge" volunteer campaigns and gave more than 1,000 bowls of porridge to patients being treated at the District Hospital.

In particular, the District Youth Union in collaboration with the District Red Cross organized the "Bowl of Love Porridge" movement and gave more than 1,000 bowls of porridge to patients being treated at the District Hospital; presented 364 gifts to poor but excellent students; 282 gifts to policy families, each gift worth 50,000 - 200,000 VND.

Entering the summer of 2016, the Anh Son District Youth Union has directed the youth unions of 21 communes and towns to organize many cultural, artistic and sports activities for students; strengthen propaganda work on drowning prevention for children, establish shock teams to regularly inspect places at risk of drowning; and install 63 warning signs in dangerous deep water areas.

In the whole Anh Son district, there are 63 warning signs for drowning accidents made by the youth union to help minimize unfortunate drowning accidents for children in the area.

In addition, the youth of Anh Son district also actively participate in implementing youth projects and tasks such as: promoting economic development programs, poverty reduction, ensuring social security; participating in new rural construction, environmental protection, maintaining security and order.
