Union members ensure traffic safety and order

Mr. Vo Minh Vy - Secretary of Cua Lo Town Youth Union shared: This year, Cua Lo Town Youth Union will implement a number of activities with the theme "Youth of Cua Lo Town join hands to protect the environment and traffic safety and order" with the motto "Each youth has a volunteer job; each union base has a project, a practical part of work to join hands to protect the environment and traffic safety and order", Cua Lo youth is promoting the pioneering and volunteering role of youth in participating in socio-economic development, environmental protection and ensuring traffic safety and order along with improving the quality and promoting activities responding to the year "Traffic Safety 2012" among children and teenagers.

The plan sets out a number of key targets such as: 100% of youth union bases have at least 01 youth project to protect the environment, develop the economy, and ensure traffic order; 7/7 wards establish a Youth Union team to propagate and participate in maintaining traffic safety; the Youth Union of wards undertakes to clean up at least 1km of inter-block roads, dredge intra-field canals; coordinates to organize medical examinations and treatment, health consultations, and free medicine for 250 people, mobilizes Youth Union members to donate 70 units of blood; assists candidates and their families in the 2012 university entrance exam; organizes activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, organizes candle lighting activities to show gratitude, etc.

The Town Youth Union has established 3 youth volunteer teams, each with a main task: serving the "support for exam season" program; protecting the environment, traffic safety. Directing Van Xuan University to establish a student volunteer team to support a disadvantaged unit in the province. On the occasion of International Children's Day, June 1, the Town Youth Union organized free medical examinations and medicine for 250 disadvantaged children in the Town; organized a forum "Listening to children speak".

On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Town Youth Union will coordinate to organize a requiem ceremony for heroic martyrs for 3 days before organizing a candle lighting ceremony in gratitude throughout the town.

For the grassroots Youth Union, in addition to implementing the plan of the Standing Committee of the Cua Lo Town Youth Union, the summer will be more exciting with the organization of useful activities for children such as organizing the "Red Flamboyant Singing" contest; Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team etiquette contest; organizing children's football tournaments, and summer activities.
