German General: The West has no magic weapon to change the situation on the Ukrainian battlefield
(Baonghean.vn) - Former Inspector General of the Bundeswehr (German Army), former Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Harald Kujat believes that no miracle weapon from the West, including the Taurus cruise missile, can prevent Russia from achieving its special operations goals.

According to Ria Novosti news agency, former Chairman of NATO's Military Committee Harald Kujat said that Western weapons, including Germany's Taurus long-range missiles, cannot prevent Russia from achieving its special operations goals.
"We need to be absolutely clear: there is no miracle weapon, including the Taurus long-range missile, that can change the situation on the Ukrainian battlefield, put Russia in a difficult situation and make it impossible to achieve its goals. No system is capable of doing this," General Kujat said.
General Kuyat stressed that it is necessary to avoid supplying Taurus cruise missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as Berlin would not be able to control their use by Kiev. The general added that an attack on some targets with these missiles would lead to a national disaster for Germany.
Therefore, former Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Harald Kujat hopes that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will stick to his decision.
Until now, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has firmly opposed the transfer of this missile due to concerns about escalating the conflict in Ukraine, despite pressure from the opposition and even some members of the ruling coalition. With a range of up to 500km, the Taurus long-range missile can completely threaten targets deep inside Russian territory.
Chancellor Scholz said that Ukrainian soldiers are not yet capable of operating long-range missiles such as the Taurus. Meanwhile, controlling this missile system requires the presence of German military personnel on Ukrainian territory. This would violate Berlin's "red line" and would make Germany a direct participant in the conflict in Ukraine./.
