Xiangyang: One person died from a poisonous snake bite.

(Baonghean.vn) - At 9:00 p.m. on October 15, Mr. Lo Van Toan (born in 1977), residing in Xieng Huong village, Xa Luong commune, Tuong Duong district, died from a venomous snake bite.

At around 7pm that same day, Toan was watching TV and saw a venomous snake crawling into his house, so he chased after it to catch it. The snake bit his hand, but Toan thought it was just a scratch, so he did not go to the hospital. Two hours after being bitten by the snake, Toan had symptoms of chest pain, difficulty breathing, and numbness in his limbs, so his family took him to Tuong Duong District General Hospital for emergency care. Due to his negligence, the venom quickly spread to other parts of his body, causing Toan to die shortly thereafter.

Toan's death is a warning to all people not to use their hands to catch venomous snakes and to seek emergency care when bitten by venomous snakes.
