Tuong Duong: Measles - Rubella vaccination round 2-2014

(Baonghean.vn) - Pursuant to plan No. 370/KH-UBND-VX, dated July 21, 2014 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, on the implementation of the measles-rubella vaccination campaign in 2014-2015, from November 17-28, Tuong Duong district implemented the second measles-rubella vaccination campaign for children aged 1-14 years old in the area.

In the first phase of the campaign, Tuong Duong district carried out vaccination in the four most difficult communes, namely Luong Minh, Huu Khuong, Nhon Mai, Mai Son, with over 3,556 children. Due to good propaganda and mobilization work, as well as learning from the measles outbreak in Pieng Coc, Mai Son commune, people in the four communes brought their children to be fully vaccinated, reaching a rate of 100%. This phase, the number of children expected to be vaccinated against measles and rubella is over 16,000 children, in the remaining communes: Luu Kien, Xa Luong, Thach Giam, Tam Thai, Thi Tran, Tam Dinh, Tam Quang, Tam Hop, Yen Na, Yen Tinh, Yen Thang, Yen Hoa, Nga My, Xieng My.
