Tuong Duong: Search and rescue for families of victims of flash floods
After receiving the news that Lo Thi Hue (born in 1973) and her child Hoang Gia Phuc (born in 2010) were swept away by floodwaters, and Lo Thi Thuong (born in 2001) was swept away by floodwaters but luckily escaped death, Tuong Duong district established a working group and mobilized more than 50 people including the police, district military, mobile force and militia of Luu Kien commune and Nam Can Border Guard Station to search for the victims' bodies.

At 12 noon on June 24, the body of Lo Thi Hue was found at Nam Mo River (Lo village area, Xa Luong commune), about 30 km from where the victim was hit by the flash flood. The body has been handed over to the family for burial procedures. Hoang Gia Phuc is still missing, and the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district is continuing to direct the search force. Lo Thi Thuong is being treated at Tuong Duong district General Hospital, and her health is starting to recover.
Comrade Nguyen Ho Canh - Chairman of Tuong Duong District People's Committee presented support money to the victim's family.
Also on the morning of June 24, the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district sent a working group led by Mr. Nguyen Ho Canh - Chairman of the People's Committee of the district to the site of the flash flood to inspect and visit, and give 17 million VND to support the victim's family. Of which, the provincial Radio and Television Station supported 5 million, the Tuong Duong District Relief Committee 11 million VND, and the district Red Cross Society 1 million VND.
