Tuong Duong: Rain and tornadoes appear after heat wave

(Baonghean.vn) - The heat wave that lasted for 3 consecutive days in a large area, causing the temperature in the western districts to increase, ended with a rainstorm on the evening of May 12, 2014. The rainstorm contributed to "cooling down" the western districts, including Tuong Duong district.

The rain on the afternoon of May 12 only lasted for about half an hour in many communes of Xa Luong, Tam Dinh, Tam Quang, Yen Hoa, Yen Na, Nga My, Hoa Binh town... There were some villages where tornadoes appeared, causing many houses to have their roofs blown off to varying degrees; there were no human casualties.

In Cay Me village (Thach Giam commune), nearly 10 households had their roofs blown off. According to the people of Xieng Huong village (Xa Luong), 2 houses had their roofs blown off in this village. In Yen Na commune alone, more than 40 houses had their roofs blown off, most concentrated in Bon village.
