Crane cable slipped, two workers had a rare escape

(Baonghean.vn) - The accident of a crane cable slipping, leaving two workers hanging on the 12th floor of the Muong Thanh Phu Dien Hotel, Dien Chau District, happened at 10:00 a.m. this morning (March 20), causing hundreds of people to be shocked and scared.

The two workers' platform is suspended across the 12th floor of a 14-story building.

It is known that at the above time, a traffic construction unit based in Hanoi was installing glass at a 14-storey building (Muong Thanh Phu Dien Hotel) in Dien Chau town.

While two male workers (from Dien Chau) were being lifted by a crane to the 12th floor of the building to install glass, the crane cable suddenly slipped and fell off the support, leaving the two workers hanging in the air at a height of about 60 meters. Luckily, they had enough safety belts so both were unharmed.

Receiving the distress signal, all staff and officers of Muong Thanh hotel immediately organized rescue, bringing the two workers to the ground safely.
