The 60-year-old veteran will accompany Coach Mai Duc Chung in the coaching staff of the Vietnam women's team in the upcoming plans.
Currently, Coach Hoang Van Phuc is working at the Hanoi Youth Football Training Center and holds the position of Technical Director of Hanoi Club. Coach Hoang Van Phuc is considered a quality addition in terms of expertise and experience to the coaching team of Coach Mai Duc Chung at the Vietnam Women's National Team.

In the past, in 2013, Coach Hoang Van Phuc was the head coach of the Vietnam National Team and Vietnam U23. After the failure with Vietnam U23 at the 27th SEA Games, Mr. Phuc resigned as head coach of the National Team and the National U23 team. After that, Coach Hoang Van Phuc moved to lead Quang Nam Club and won the V.League championship in 2017. This is considered a historic championship for Quang Nam football.
In 2020, Coach Hoang Van Phuc also briefly led Saigon FC but left after only one round due to disagreements with Chairman Vu Tien Thanh. In recent times, Coach Hoang Van Phuc has retired to the role of manager, in charge of professional training for the capital team. 13-year-old female tennis player brings Vietnamese badminton to Asian final
Born in 2011, Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen represented Vietnam to advance to the historic final match of the Asian U17-U15 badminton tournament (China) when she defeated the host player 2-1 on the afternoon of August 24.
In the semi-final match of the 2024 Asian Youth Badminton Championship U17-U15 (August 20-25), Thu Huyen faced home player Liu Yutong.
Entering the match, the Vietnamese female tennis player had the advantage with a victory in set 1 (21-18). However, Thu Huyen let her opponent tie the score 1-1 in set 2 (17-21), but the 13-year-old tennis player still maintained her composure and did not let her opponent successfully reverse the score in the tense set 3, winning 21-19.
Winning 2-1, Thu Huyen entered the final match against No. 1 seed, Tanvi Patri (India), also 13 years old, taking place on August 25. Thereby, the young girl from Hai Duong helped Vietnam to participate in the final match of the Asian Youth Badminton Championship for the first time.

Previously, the 13-year-old player defeated Yu Jeong Jang (Korea, 2-1); Shaina Manimuthu (India, 2-1); Deng Ye Wen (China, 2-0); In which, the Korean player is older than Thu Huyen. In the tournament, the Vietnamese player was also ranked as the second seed of the tournament.
In addition, Thu Huyen also excelled in reaching the quarterfinals of women's doubles with Pham Thanh Hang but lost 1-2 to the Korean duo on August 23.
Man Utd lost painfully in extra time
In the second round of the Premier League, Brighton hosted Man Utd at home with the ambition of winning 3 points. After the opening whistle, Coach Fabian Hurzeler's students took the initiative to attack and made Man Utd a bit confused. As for the away team, they only appeared confused in the first 10 minutes and quickly regained control of the game.
In fact, it was Man Utd who had the first dangerous chance. Diogo Dalot crossed the ball very well but Amad Diallo's shot was not accurate enough. The Red Devils played better, defending solidly but lacking precision in attack. They did well in the midfield but passed the ball wrong near the penalty area.
Failing to score, Man Utd paid a heavy price. In the 32nd minute, Mitoma received the ball on the left wing and crossed dangerously. Danny Welbeck rushed in and finished close to the goal to open the score for Brighton. This goal helped the home team play better. Welbeck and Pedro's moves were more flexible.

On the other side of the front line, Man Utd struggled with approaches to Brighton's goal. Amad Diallo and especially Marcus Rashford played very poorly on the wing. They appeared harmless and rarely finished or created. The first half ended with the advantage for Brighton.
In the second half, Man Utd began to adjust their personnel when Zirkzee entered the field. Coach Erik ten Hag's students played well and had luck with them. In the 51st minute, James Milner entered the penalty area and skillfully finished off Onana. Unfortunately, Diogo Dalot promptly cleared the ball on the goal line.
In the 60th minute, receiving a pass from Marzaoui, Amad Diallo eliminated Hinshelwood before finishing the ball off the Brighton defender's leg and scoring. 12 minutes later, Man Utd were denied a goal in an unbelievable scenario. Bruno Fernandes crossed for Garnacho, the striker's shot hit Zirkzee and was disallowed because number 11 was offside.
Unfortunately, the Red Devils conceded a goal in the 5th minute of injury time. From Adringa's cross, Joao Pedro easily headed the ball to seal a 2-1 victory for Brighton.
Haaland makes Premier League history
Man City striker Erling Haaland has once again written his name into Premier League history with three goals against Ipswich.
Against newcomer Ipswich, Man City surprisingly let their opponents score early. However, Haaland's brilliance helped the defending champions successfully turn the tables to win 4-1 overall.
Haaland himself bagged a hat-trick with goals scored in the 12th, 16th and 88th minutes respectively. According to statistics from Squawka, Haaland has made his name in Premier League history as one of the foreign players with the most hat-tricks in the tournament.

The Norwegian striker has now scored 7 hat-tricks in the Premier League, behind only Thierry Henry (8) and Sergio Aguero (12). However, it is worth noting that Haaland only needed 68 matches to score 7 hat-tricks, while Henry needed 258 matches to score 8 hat-tricks and Aguero needed 275 matches.
This number is enough to show how terrible Haaland is, and Henry and Aguero's records will certainly be quickly surpassed by the 24-year-old "monster" in the near future, possibly this season.
After just the first two rounds of the 2024/25 Premier League, Haaland has already scored four goals - a great start. With such performance, it is not known whether Haaland can even break the record of scoring 36 goals after 35 appearances in the 2022/23 Premier League - his first season in a Man City shirt.
