(Baonghean.vn) - On April 15, Farmers' Associations of districts and towns held a conference on typical and advanced farmers for the period 2010-2015.

* Hoang Mai Town Farmers' Association organized a conference of typical advanced models for the period 2010-2015 with the participation of 63 typical advanced delegates representing 12,272 farmer members in the whole town.

The speech of delegate Tran Dinh Anh (Quynh Lap commune, Hoang Mai town) was honored by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association as "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer in 2014".

Over the past 5 years, the Farmers' Association at all levels in Hoang Mai town has organized many practical emulation movements in the Association's activities and the farmers' movement in all economic - social, national defense - security fields, building a strong Association organization. Up to now, the whole town has 5,016 good farmer households at all levels with income from 2.5 million VND to over 6.5 million VND/person/month (an increase of 1,005 households compared to 2010). Of which, there are 18 good production and business households at the central level; 62 good households at the provincial level; 200 households at the town level and 4,736 households at the ward and commune level. Focusing on developing occupations, handicrafts and services, many households have proactively opened mechanical workshops, repaired cars and motorbikes, purchased and processed seafood, food and foodstuffs, creating jobs for hundreds of workers with incomes from 2 to 6.5 million VND/person/month.

In particular, in the movement of farmers competing to build new rural areas, the Association at all levels has mobilized members and farmers to contribute over 26,345 working days, donate over 61,590 m2 of residential land, garden land, field land and over 112,162 m2 of fences, auxiliary works, 11,669 million VND and over 5,800 trees of all kinds to build welfare works, making the face of the countryside increasingly new. At the same time, it mobilized farmers to compete to build a cultural life, contributing to building 73/132 villages to achieve the title of cultural village.

Attending and directing the conference, comrade Nguyen Huu Nhi - Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association acknowledged the achievements in the emulation movement of the Association at all levels and farmer members of Hoang Mai town in the past time. He emphasized: To continue promoting emulation movements among members and farmers, the Association at all levels needs to continue to propagate to change the thinking of farmers from quantity-based production to value-based production. Building farmers in the new era with skills in using information technology, using mechanical machinery and using public services. Pay attention to promoting typical examples and replicating advanced examples.

At the same time, launched the emulation movement in the period 2015 - 2020.

Up to now, Que Phong district has more than 2,900 good farming households at all levels, accounting for 25.26% of the farmers' association members. Typical households include Tho Ba Vu in Tri Le, Vi Van Dien (Nam Nhoong), Quang Van Nguyen (Thong Thu), Mrs. Vi Thi Lan (Kim Son Town)... with an income of 350-500 million VND/year... The whole district has 19 agricultural service cooperatives, 162 farms and family farms with an area of ​​2 hectares or more. Of which, 87 farms have an income of 35-40 million VND/farm, and 7 farms have an income of 500 million VND/year...
