Commendation for Dinh Le Cong winning silver medal at the 2013 International Math Olympiad

(Baonghean.vn) –On the morning of August 2, Vinh University held a meeting to honor Dinh Le Cong, a 12th grade Math student at Vinh University High School for the Gifted, who won a Silver Medal at the 2013 International Math Olympiad. Attending were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Education and Training, and the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.

At the 54th International Mathematical Olympiad in Colombia, the Vietnamese delegation had 6 students participating. As a result, the delegation won 3 Gold medals and 3 Silver medals. Dinh Le Cong (12A grade student, Vinh University High School for the Gifted) scored 30 points and won the Silver Medal.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa, authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented a Certificate of Merit to Dinh Le Cong.

On behalf of Vinh University's leadership, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa congratulated and commended Dinh Le Cong's achievements. He is a typical example of the tradition of studiousness of his homeland. He hopes that in the future, he will continue to promote his achievements and strive to study better to contribute to building his homeland and country to become more prosperous. At the same time, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa commended and acknowledged the efforts of teachers of Vinh University High School for the Gifted in training and creating conditions for him to achieve the highest results in the competition.



The Association for Promotion of Education awarded a Certificate of Merit and prize to Dinh Le Cong.



The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Education and Training awarded teachers of Vinh University High School for the Gifted.



Student Dinh Le Cong and teachers of Vinh University High School for the Gifted returned after the victory.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee presented a Certificate of Merit and a reward to Dinh Le Cong; Vinh University, the Provincial Youth Union, and the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education also presented a Certificate of Merit and a reward to him.
