Commendation of outstanding cultural families in the period 2007 - 2012
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of September 11, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to honor outstanding cultural families in the 2007-2012 period and to review 5 years of implementing the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention in the 2008-2013 period.
Attending the conference were comrade Pham Van Thuy - Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nguyen - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Cao Dang Vinh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired the conference. 76 delegates representing 56,000 outstanding cultural families of Nghe An province in the period 2007-2012 attended.
The movement to build cultural families (GĐVH) is one of the core contents throughout the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life". After 5 years of implementation (2007 - 2012), the movement has truly entered life, becoming a patriotic emulation movement, meeting the aspirations of the people, receiving the people's consensus and participation. The movement has made an important contribution to socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, new rural construction, maintaining political security and ensuring social order and safety. Up to now, the whole province has over 560,000/725,155 families recognized as the title of GĐVH; reaching a rate of 77%; there are 155 cultural residential areas recognized, bringing the total number of cultural villages in the whole province to 3,081 cultural villages, reaching 52%.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Pham Van Thuy - Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism praised and acknowledged the achievements that Nghe An province has achieved after 5 years of implementing the movement to build cultural families; at the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, in order for the cultural movement to develop firmly and deeply, Nghe An needs to focus on and do well the registration, evaluation, recognition of cultural families, discover and build models, typical examples in the movement, integrate the content of building cultural families with other local emulation movements with preferential policies for regions and ethnic groups...
The conference also took time to review the five-year implementation of the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control in the province from 2008 to 2013 and listened to reports from groups and individuals.

Closing the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Thi Le Thanh emphasized: The conference to honor outstanding cultural families is not just a celebration of achievements, summarizing a period, but has the meaning of opening a new stage to promote the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in the province to achieve sustainable progress in both quantity and quality in the coming time.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 76 families achieving the title of exemplary and excellent cultural families in the emulation movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in Nghe An province in the period of 2007-2012 and 16 collectives and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence 2008-2013./.
