Diplomatic Academy 2025: Minimum score and admission combination

The Academy notes that the floor score is determined based on the total score of 3 subjects in any admission combination of the Academy at the 2025 high school graduation exam. Candidates can use the converted score from international certificates according to the Academy's regulations to calculate the threshold to ensure input quality.

Special policy for international certificates and candidates graduating before 2025

For candidates who graduated from high school before 2025 and registered for admission by combining transcripts and international certificates, the floor score will be applied according to the Academy's input quality assurance threshold in the year the candidate graduated.

Notably, candidates using A-level certificates or IB Diploma will have their own minimum score of 24 points (after converting the total admission score).

The Diplomatic Academy also said that there is a difference in scores between the admission combinations using the 2025 high school graduation exam results: combination C00 will be 3 points higher than combination D01. The remaining admission subject combinations have no difference in scores.

2,200 quotas and 4 diverse admission methods

This year, the Diplomatic Academy plans to enroll 2,200 students with 4 main admission methods:

Direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Admission is based on a combination of Vietnamese high school study results and international certificates.

Admission to A-level certificates or IB Diploma.

Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

With the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the school uses the following combinations: A00, A01, C00, D01, D03, D04, DD2, D06, D07, D09, D10, D14, D15. Candidates can convert international certificates instead of foreign languages ​​in the combination.

According to the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, this year the Diplomatic Academy will only calculate the quota by major, not by admission method. The admission score will be converted to a 30-point scale and rounded to 2 decimal places.

Last year, the Diplomatic Academy had a benchmark score ranging from 25.37 to 29.2, in which the Chinese Studies major in the C00 group had the highest benchmark score. The Commercial Law major (D03, D04 and D06 groups) had the lowest benchmark score of 25.37. For the English Language major, the school took 35.38/40 points, with the English subject having a coefficient of 2.
