University Admissions: Candidates withdraw their applications directly or by authorization
Candidates must come to school or authorize (in writing) a relative to come to school to withdraw their application if they want to apply to another school.
After announcing the threshold to ensure the quality of university and college entrance exams in 2015, the Ministry of Education and Training issued the Admissions Organization Process for schools using the results of the National High School Exam for admission.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that schools must announce on their websites: The combination of subjects used for admission to each major or group of majors with the same enrollment quota. Schools that use multiple combinations for admission to one major must specify and announce the difference in admission scores between the combinations.

Admission scores for each major; admission scores must not be lower than the input quality assurance threshold announced by the Ministry of Education and Training.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, during the prescribed time of each admission round (round 1 from August 1 to August 20), schools will organize to receive the candidates' application documents. The application documents include: The original certificate of the candidate's exam results; the candidate's application form allows the candidate to register for up to 4 majors of the school, ranked in order of priority from 1 to 4; for each wish, the candidate must indicate the combination of subjects used for admission. The candidate must enclose a stamped envelope with the candidate's address clearly written.
The Ministry also requested that schools create conditions for candidates to withdraw their applications to transfer to another school. Candidates must come to the school or authorize (in writing) a relative to come to the school to withdraw their applications.
At least once every three days, schools announce the list of candidates applying for admission to the school.
The Ministry of Education and Training also noted: Candidates are only allowed to change their wishes within the school as well as withdraw their application to submit to another school for the first round of admission, but when considering additional wishes, candidates are not allowed to change their wishes or withdraw their application.
To provide full information to help candidates choose the right major, schools need to publicize admission scores from previous years; arrange admissions consulting teams and provide phone numbers to advise candidates.
According to Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga, candidates must find out information about each school. Through that, they will know the ability of the schools to attract candidates in previous years. Especially during the first round of admission, candidates must regularly monitor the statistical information of the schools, because this is a very important parameter to help them know where they are in the list, whether they are likely to be admitted or not. If not, they must withdraw their application and submit it to another school.
Without that information, you will be at a very high risk. This year, the Ministry has created conditions for you to minimize the risk for candidates. If you apply to the wrong school or position, you can withdraw your application and apply to another school.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga emphasized: “Candidates should have the habit of searching for information. Recently, during the exam registration process, the Ministry asked candidates to go online to check their information to make sure it was correct, but many candidates still did not do so or did not have the means to do so. In the end, at the last minute, candidates had to change their information, even their exam subjects…
Remember that in the first round, schools recruited most of their quotas, up to more than 70%, so if you fail in the first round, the number of fake students in the second round is very large because you have up to 3 exam result notices and can submit them at the same time"./.
