Vietnamese player received red card for tackling with both feet
Sam Ngoc Duc was sent off for a rough tackle when Hanoi beat Hai Phong 2-0 in round 14 of V-League 2017 on June 24.
In the 27th minute, Anh Hung dribbled the ball down the right wing. Ngoc Duc jumped into the ball with both feet, causing the Hai Phong player to fall to the ground in pain. Referee Hoang Pham Cong Khanh immediately showed the Hanoi defender a red card and sent him off.
Anh Hung was lucky not to suffer any serious injuries. This player had broken his leg after a tackle by his fellow countryman Dinh Dong in V-League 2013. After more than a year of injury treatment, this player from Nghe An was able to return to the field, at his new team Hai Phong.

Having to play with 10 men for most of the match, Hanoi still won 2-0. Loris opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a soft shot, but the ball went dangerously close to the post, causing goalkeeper Van Lam to jump as far as he could but still not be able to block it.
In the first half's extra time, Hoang Vu Samson cunningly brought Hanoi a penalty kick. He stretched to touch the ball, and fell very quickly before hitting goalkeeper Van Lam in the penalty area. On the 11m mark, Van Quyet finished very hard into the middle of the goal to increase the score to 2-0.
At My Dinh Stadium, Hai Phong fans were the majority. In the second half, they set off flares many times, forcing referee Cong Khanh to temporarily stop the match. The 2-0 score remained until the final whistle.
