In 2013, the Propaganda Department at all levels had many activities to implement and successfully complete the assigned tasks. The Department advised the Party Committee on directing and leading the implementation of socio-economic, security-defense, and Party building tasks; directed the mass media to promptly propagate holidays and outstanding events to contribute to orienting public opinion. The implementation of Directive 03-CT/TW on continuing to promote studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh in the locality was effectively advised by the Propaganda Department at all levels. The provincial level organized 1 training course for nearly 400 key cadres; the district level and equivalent organized 34 classes for nearly 7,000 people; advised the Party Committee to organize a preliminary review of 2 years of implementing Directive 03; advised the Party Committee at all levels to perfect the Support Unit and organize meetings of the Directive 03 cluster in conjunction with Resolution 4 of the Central Committee; continued to build and foster exemplary collectives and individuals in studying and following Uncle Ho. At the conference, representatives of the Propaganda Departments of districts, cities, towns and departments and branches spoke about some outstanding results of propaganda activities in each locality and press work in the past year, in which besides the advantages, there are still some limitations and shortcomings that need to continue to be studied and handled.
In 2014, in addition to disseminating the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, propaganda work in Nghe An will focus on disseminating the implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo on Nghe An; advising Party committees at all levels to organize the study, dissemination and implementation of Resolutions of the Central and the province; effectively implementing Directive 03 of the Politburo on studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; maintaining and improving the quality of monthly reporters' conferences; focusing on implementing well thematic training and theoretical study; providing political and ideological orientation in the activities of press and publishing agencies in the area; advising and guiding the effective implementation of Directives and Resolutions of the Central and Party committees on science and education work.

At the conference, comrade Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, spoke to review some of the highlights and key events of the province's socio-economic situation in the past year, emphasizing the priority of investing in building technical infrastructure to connect and create an environment to attract and invite investment such as opening domestic and international flights; highlighting the significance of the Politburo's issuance of a separate Resolution for Nghe An as a concern, at the same time an opportunity for the province to have more investment resources for development, effectively exploiting the intellectual potential and local land. He emphasized that ideological and propaganda work plays a very important role. Through reviewing press information highlighting prominent events in the area, the Provincial Party Secretary said that press information must maintain a firm ideological position, proactively propagate guidelines and policies; at the same time, proactively and effectively refute the "peaceful evolution" and distortions and reactionaries of hostile and reactionary forces.

The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that in 2014, agencies and propaganda work must closely follow the grassroots to better grasp the ideological situation and public opinion, the aspirations of the people to have proactive measures to advise the Party Committee on handling; grasp and promptly handle the phenomenon of Party members violating discipline, degeneracy; each cadre and Party member must turn towards the people, towards the poor so that the poor can have a warm and prosperous Tet, thereby encouraging the people to unite and work towards the common goal of building an increasingly prosperous homeland./.
