Bold propaganda about the second US-North Korea summit

At the conference, the reporters listened to a number of issues: The political security situation, social order and safety and the results of the fight against crime in 2018 of the whole country and the province; forecast of the situation and key tasks in 2019; Thoroughly grasping a number of Directives and Resolutions of the Politburo such as Directive 27, Directive 28, Resolution 39; A number of current world security issues, impacts and countermeasures of Vietnam; the US-North Korea summit in Hanoi.

The conference paid special attention to the second US-North Korea summit taking place in Hanoi for two days (February 27 and 28). This is Vietnam's biggest political and diplomatic event in 2019.

Vietnam is honored to be chosen as a safe and peaceful destination for the meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

This has affirmed the country's increasingly high position, and demonstrated Vietnam's active and responsible role and contribution to international issues. This event in Hanoi attracted 3,000 reporters from nearly 40 countries around the world.

In that spirit, in the March 2019 propaganda orientation, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Thi Thu Huong asked reporters to promote and inform clearly about the second US-North Korea summit, emphasizing the results of the conference, the great opportunities that Vietnam has when organizing this historic event, as well as the position of Vietnam when being chosen as the venue.

Through this, Vietnam demonstrates that it is a responsible and active country in the international community, wishing to contribute to the peace process, and also demonstrates the country's policy of elevating multilateral diplomacy in the coming time.

In addition, reporters need to pay attention to propagating the general world security situation and its impacts on Vietnam, thereby helping cadres, party members and the masses understand the value of peace and the efforts of the Party, State and the Foreign Affairs sector in preserving Vietnam as a peaceful, independent and autonomous environment for development.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department proposed to disseminate a number of newly issued directives and resolutions of the Politburo and Secretariat; and to provide in-depth information on the foreign affairs of the Party and State, such as the official visit of General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong to Laos and Cambodia; and the official visit to Vietnam of Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong-un.
