Propaganda and mobilization of people to build and protect national border sovereignty

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 16, at the Provincial Border Guard Command, a signing ceremony of the propaganda program to mobilize people to build and protect national border sovereignty took place. Attending the signing ceremony were comrades Thai Van Hang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Huy - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front; Nguyen Van Tuy - Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard.

The signing ceremony aims to enhance the effectiveness of coordination between the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command in propaganda work to carry out two strategic tasks of successfully building and firmly protecting the Vietnamese Fatherland, mobilizing all classes of people to develop the economy and society, contributing to building a strong political base, consolidating national defense and security in the province's border areas.

The joint program includes the following contents:The two sides coordinated to promote propaganda work on the task of building and protecting border sovereignty such as organizing exchange activities and meetings. Propagating the National Border Law and the Vietnam Maritime Strategy to 2020 of the Government; Coordinated to build and develop the model of "self-managed border and boundary marker groups"; Coordinated to advise local Party committees and authorities to strengthen the local political system; actively coordinated to participate in resolving and propagating to mobilize people when there are complicated cases, conflicts and disputes; advised and proposed to Party committees and authorities at all levels to implement Resolution No. 25 of the Party Central Committee (11th Term) on: "Strengthening the Party's leadership in mass mobilization work in the new situation".

In addition, promote the role of village elders, prestigious people in the family and ethnic group as the core force to propagate and mobilize people to fight to eliminate backward customs and illegal religious activities. Coordinate well the implementation of the Government's programs 134 and 135; coordinate propaganda and education to mobilize all classes of people to build a special peaceful and friendly border between Vietnam and Laos. Speaking at the signing ceremony, comrade Thai Van Hang agreed with the draft signed between the two sides. He emphasized: the two sides need to focus on close coordination to firmly build a strong base of people's hearts, propagate the Party and State's policies and guidelines in all fields; develop a strategy to appoint border guards as Party Committee secretaries; eliminate hot spots and complicated gathering places among the people. Pay attention to improving living standards, developing the economy, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty, and building new rural areas in border areas. If there are any difficulties during the implementation process, the two sides are requested to immediately report to the authorities.
