U23 team begins training in Binh Duong
On February 6, the U23 team arrived in Binh Duong province, starting a week of training before going to Cambodia (expected to leave on February 11) to participate in the U23 Southeast Asian Championship. During the training period in Binh Duong, U23 Vietnam will have a practice match with U.19 Binh Duong on February 8.
According to plan, U23 Vietnam will have 1 week of training in Binh Duong and more than 1 week of training in Phnom Penh, Cambodia before entering the first match of the U23 Southeast Asian Championship.

At the 2022 Southeast Asian U23 Championship,U23 Vietnamare in Group C with U23 Thailand and Singapore. Group A has hosts Cambodia, Timor Leste, Philippines and Brunei. Group B is a competition between Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos. The teams compete in a round robin format to calculate rankings, selecting the 3 group winners and 1 second-place team with the best results to compete in the semi-finals. The two winning teams in the semi-finals enter the final to compete for the championship, the two losing teams in the semi-finals compete for third place.

On the afternoon of February 6, the Vietnam Women's Team won 2-1 against the Chinese Taipei Women's Team in the play-off match for a ticket to the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team received a "shower" of bonuses from the Government, the Vietnam Football Federation and businesses after winning a historic ticket to the 2023 World Cup finals.
Immediately after the victory over Taiwan in the final round of the play-off round at DY Patil Stadium (India) on the afternoon of February 6, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the VFF, Tran Quoc Tuan, Acting President, sent congratulations to the Vietnamese women's team and decided to reward the team with 3 billion VND.

Thus, the total amount of money the team received from VFF was 5.5 billion VND; including two losses to Japan and Korea, the team was awarded 600 million VND (each match was 300 million VND). The draw with Myanmar was awarded 600 million VND. The loss to China was awarded 300 million VND. The win over Thailand in the play-off was awarded 1 billion VND and the win over Taiwan was awarded 3 billion VND.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also decided to reward the team with 4 billion VND from socialized sources.
In addition, the Vietnamese women's team also received 3 billion VND from a business, including 300 million VND in New Year's lucky money, 1.2 billion VND in bonuses and vacation trips equivalent to 1.5 billion VND.
Up to now, the Vietnamese women's team has been awarded 12.5 billion VND.
