(Baonghean.vn) - For the past several days in Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia, the Vietnamese national team players have hardly gone out, except for the time spent practicing, preparing for the first leg of the AFF Cup 2018 final against Malaysia at Bukit Zalil Stadium tomorrow.

Also present at the press conference with coach Park Hang-seo, midfielder Trong Hoang raised his vigilance towards his teammates when he said: "Playing at Bukit Jalil is always difficult for the Vietnamese team, because the fans here always cheer very enthusiastically and passionately. However, in the past few days, we have reviewed the tapes of the group stage match with Malaysia and the semi-final match between this team and Thailand. And we believe that we will have a reasonable strategy for tomorrow's match."

Without having to wait until the day of going to Malaysia, right after the victory over the Philippines, the Vietnam team studied Malaysia very carefully. According to midfielder Trong Hoang, the players "dissected" the two semi-final matches between Malaysia and Thailand to analyze the opponent's weaknesses, strengths and tactics:

"Before the match, the whole team practiced very hard and studied Malaysia's matches carefully to come up with a reasonable tactical plan for tomorrow. We have learned many lessons about Malaysia, especially at the 2009 SEA Games when we won the group stage 3-1 but lost 0-1 in the final. Therefore, I hope my teammates will always maintain the highest concentration in the upcoming match" - Trong Hoang shared.

Sharing privately with Nghe An Newspaper reporters, Trong Hoang revealed: “Although coach Park Hang-seo has not banned the players from going out in the past few days, all the players are staying in the hotel and not going out. Simply because the players want to have the best concentration and preparation for the upcoming difficult match with Malaysia.”

Meanwhile, yesterday, goalkeeper Farizal Marlias confidently said that if he could neutralize Adisak Kraisorn of the Thai national team, he could do the same with Anh Duc, Cong Phuong, and Quang Hai: “Malaysia fought hard against Thailand. Luck played a part in the match. But the important thing is our efforts. After facing Adisak, I am confident that I can do the same with Vietnam's strikers.”

Goalkeeper Farizal Marlias is the goalkeeper of Johor Darul Tazim Club who met SLNA at AFC Cup 2018 earlier this year. The goalkeeper of the Malaysian team had to pick the ball out of the net twice at Vinh Stadium due to goals from Phan Van Duc and Pham Xuan Manh./.
