Hoang Mai Town summarizes the National Defense - Security tasks in 2013

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 30, Hoang Mai town held a conference to review the National Defense - Security work in 2013 and deploy tasks for 2014. Attending and directing the conference were Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police; Colonel Nguyen Van Hoa, Head of the Technical Department of the Provincial Military Command.

In 2013, the National Defense - Security (NDS) situation in the town was maintained. Military agencies, police, and Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station did a good job of advising Party committees and authorities at all levels to direct the implementation of the DS-S tasks, associated with socio-economic development.

Attention has been paid to the education of national defense and security tasks; a comprehensively strong armed force has been built. Currently, the town has 1,135 registered militiamen, 2,600 reserve members, 330 self-managed inter-family groups, 87 self-managed clans, 22 mediation committees... to resolve incidents occurring at the grassroots level.

The second round of military service reached the target of 100% (90/90 comrades). The work of building the national defense and security posture and defense areas was well done. The border guards and the Military Commands of coastal communes proactively grasped the situation at sea and promptly handled incidents, especially fishing ground disputes and illegal use of explosives to exploit seafood. The town police investigated and clarified 3/3 serious crimes and 22/25 minor crimes, of which 14 cases and 48 defendants were prosecuted and 9 cases and 21 subjects were handled.

Discovered many major cases such as the motorbike theft case coded 713X, case 1113DB fighting against lottery gambling subjects, destroying 01 complex criminal den. Established and ended 3 cases, prosecuted 4 cases, 6 defendants for the crime of illegal drug trafficking and possession, seized 542.88g of heroin...

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, highly appreciated the results achieved by the town's armed forces in the past time and suggested that in the coming time, the military, police, and border guard forces continue to make efforts, strive, and train to meet the increasingly high requirements of the national defense and security tasks, and perform well the work of social security and order; Directive 13 of the Provincial People's Committee on the recovery of weapons, explosives, and drug crimes and suggested that Party committees at all levels consider the national defense and security tasks as an important task, build the military and police forces as a reliable force of the Party Committee and the government in the national defense and security work; at the same time, strengthen propaganda work, handle violators to restore traffic order and safety...
