Hoang Mai Town: Measles and Rubella vaccination rate in the first phase reached 96% of the plan

(Baonghean.vn) - By the end of October 23, the first round of Measles and Rubella vaccination ended, Hoang Mai town had 11,854/12,042 children from 1 to 5 years old vaccinated, reaching 96% of the plan, the remaining children were showing signs of illness and fever before vaccination so they have not been vaccinated, waiting for the next round.

Nowadays, most parents have been more proactive in vaccinating their children to prevent infectious diseases.

Thanks to the good screening work, during the 1 week of vaccination, no unfortunate incidents occurred. The next vaccination rounds will be held in December 2014 and February 2015. In total, 27,572 children from 1 to 14 years old are expected to be vaccinated against Measles and Rubella for free in all 3 rounds. Hoang Mai health sector continues to direct grassroots health facilities and local officials to do a good job of training and supervising vaccination, in order to limit the risks that may occur during the vaccination process, organize vaccination according to the health sector's procedures, ensuring safety and high efficiency for children's health.
