USD exchange rate today in the world
The US dollar fell from a one-week high against other major currencies in the previous session, capping a volatile few days of trading amid fears of a looming economic recession.

The US currency fell against the Japanese yen after three days of recovery, as stronger-than-expected jobs data on August 8 helped reduce market expectations for interest rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve later this year.
The yen and Swiss franc hovered near one-week lows as major stock markets rose and Treasury yields fell.
Markets have had a tumultuous week, largely due to dismal US payrolls data released last week, while demand for safe-haven assets such as the yen and franc surged, sending the currencies soaring to their highest levels since the start of the year on August 5.
The dollar fell 0.39 percent to 146.675 yen, but was still on track for its first weekly gain in six weeks.
“The market is expecting the yen to be used as a safe haven amid the turmoil and conflicts going on around the world,” said Juan Perez, director of trading at Monex USA in Washington, US.
Data released on August 8 showed the number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits fell more than expected last week, easing concerns that the labor market was disintegrating.
Market bets on a 50 basis point rate cut at the Fed's next policy meeting on September 17-18 fell to 52% from 69% a day earlier, with a 49% chance of a 25 basis point cut, according to CME Group's FedWatch Tool.
The yen has been on a tear this month, hitting its highest since January 2 at $141.675 earlier this week after the Bank of Japan unexpectedly raised interest rates amid U.S. economic data that missed market expectations.
US Commodity Futures Trading Commission data will provide a clearer indication of the extent of yen buying.
The euro was steady at $1.0919, little changed from a week ago. On Aug. 5, the common European currency rose to $1.1009 for the first time since Jan. 2.
The British pound rose to $1.2756. Meanwhile, the Australian dollar fell 0.29% to $0.657, while the New Zealand dollar hit a three-week high of $0.6035 before retreating to close the session at $0.5998.
