In the US market, the US Dollar Index (DXY) measuring the greenback's fluctuations against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF) increased by 0.26% to 106.41.

The dollar rose, especially against the Japanese yen (151.925) and other major currencies, amid expectations that the US Federal Reserve will cut interest rates by 25 basis points next week. Investors are waiting for inflation data (CPI) due on Wednesday to determine whether it will influence the Fed's monetary policy, especially at its December meeting.

Investors are keeping an eye on news from the European Central Bank (ECB), which is expected to cut interest rates by 0.25 basis points, and upcoming reports from other central banks such as the Bank of Canada and the Swiss National Bank.

The Australian dollar fell 0.93% to $0.6381 as the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) downplayed its inflation outlook after China released weak trade data. Markets also expected China's monetary easing to have a positive impact, but negative factors from the Chinese economy weighed on the Australian dollar.

The New Zealand dollar (NZD) fell 1.1% to $0.5801, reflecting a general weakness in Pacific currencies due to China and central bank policy.

Weak Chinese trade data, including a decline in exports and imports, is raising concerns about the impact on the Australian economy, where China is its largest trading partner.

The Chinese yuan (CNY) is currently trading at 7.2602 CNY/USD, following a shift in China's monetary policy towards more easing to boost the economy.
