In the first 5 months of the year, the whole province created jobs for 14,500 workers, of which 3,800 were exported.

In addition, the province has also implemented the unemployment insurance law well, continued to support poverty reduction in localities, especially in particularly difficult communes and villages; eliminated dilapidated houses for poor households, supported poor households and poor localities to export labor.

The Provincial People's Committee allocated a budget of VND30 billion to implement Resolution 30a of the Government in 2011 for three poor districts: Ky Son, Que Phong, and Tuong Duong. In 5 months, the province reduced 6,700 poor households, bringing the poverty rate in the whole province according to the new standards to 23.5% by the end of May, and the near-poor rate to 12.88%.
