The rate of unemployment insurance application submissions in Nghe An decreased by nearly 13%
According to a report by the Nghe An Employment Service Center, in 2024, the whole province had 20,156 people applying for unemployment insurance, a decrease of 12.9% compared to 2023 (23,149 people).
Of these, the number of employees working in enterprises in the province is 9,632, down 11.7% compared to 2023 (10,910 people). This shows that many enterprises in the province have stabilized production and business compared to the previous year.
Also according to the report, in 2024, Nghe An Employment Service Center coordinated with the provincial Social Insurance to resolve procedures for receiving benefits.unemployment benefitsmonthly for 19,269 people, with a total amount of nearly 378.4 billion VND. This figure decreased by 3,230 people (14.3%) and nearly 25.4 billion VND (6.3%) compared to 2023.
In addition, a reality that has occurred over the years is that most workers after quitting or losing their jobs often want to return to the labor market sooner, instead of receiving vocational training support according to Decision 17/2021/QD-TTg on vocational training support levels for workers participating in unemployment insurance.
In 2024, only 54 workers at Nghe An Employment Service Center received vocational training support decisions, a decrease of 23 people compared to 2023.
