U13 SLNA had a smooth start in the qualifying round of the National Youth and Children Football Tournament

The qualifying round of Group 2 of the 2019 National Youth & Children's Football Tournament was held at the natural grass and artificial grass fields of Song Lam Nghe An Club from May 28 to June 2.

Children (U11) has 12 teams including: Song Lam Nghe An, Yen Bai, Hung Yen, Phu Dong FC (Hanoi), Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Ha Nam Ninh Land, Thanh Hoa, SLF - Thanh Vinh (Nghe An), Hue, SHB Da Nang and Quang Nam.

Youth (U13) has 8 teams: Song Lam Nghe An, Hanoi Club, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, SLF - Thanh Vinh (Nghe An), Hue, SHB Da Nang, Quang Nam. In which, SLF - Thanh Vinh is the team of SLNA Community Football Academy. Thus, Nghe An has 4 representatives participating in the qualifying round.

In the first match of the Youth, U13 SLF - Thanh Vinh lost to U13 Ha Noi with a score of 0-1. Meanwhile, U13 SLNA faced U13 Hai Duong, a strong team that is always considered a candidate for the championship of the tournament.

In the first half, coach Le Van Hung's students played confidently with home field advantage and scored the first goal thanks to Le Dinh Long Vu. In the second half, the two teams played back-to-back but no goals were scored, U13 SLNA won 1-0 overall.

According to the schedule, U13 SLNA will meet U13 Hai Phong in the next match on May 30, while U11 SLNA will have their opening match against U11 Phu Dong FC on May 29.

From U13 SLNA champions to Vietnam U18 team
