This season, nearly half of the squadU15 Song Lam Nghe Anare new faces selected or promoted from youth teams after being returned to the right age. The rest are mainly reserve players of the U13 team that participated in the 2023 National U13 Tournament. The lack of competition experience and uniformity in level have significantly affected the team's professional quality.

Head coach Le Manh Huy shared: “In the current squad, there is a mix of many groups of players with different levels of expertise. This causes many difficulties in the process of building a playing style. In addition to aiming for a not-too-bad result at the 2025 National U15 Tournament, the coaching staff also has to spend time to consolidate and train the players' basic techniques. However, with the players' eagerness to learn, spirit of effort and never giving up, we still hope that the team will surpass themselves and leave a good impression in the hearts of the fans.”

Not being influenced by the pressure of performance, U15 Song Lam Nghe An has prepared for the season seriously and systematically. Two months ago, the team had a specific training plan with two training sessions per day. Technical and tactical training sessions were arranged alternately, in which collective play and the ability to control the ball in short distances were emphasized. The coaching staff encouraged creativity in each individual's playing style, as long as it was within the framework of general discipline.

Coach Le Manh Huy also pays special attention to the physical factor. This is the foundation for players to be able to compete at high intensity throughout the match. In addition to specialized exercises, the team also organizes gym sessions, mountain running, beach running and endurance running to improve endurance and strength. The goal is to not let any player get tired in the final minutes of the match.

Despite many changes in the squad, through serious training, U15 Song Lam Nghe An has initially shown cohesion in all three lines. However, the team still needs to improve their finishing ability to increase effectiveness in attacks.

Understanding the difficulties and challenges that the U15 team is facing, Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Director of Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center expressed sympathy and did not put too much pressure on Coach Le Manh Huy and his team.

“We are not putting any pressure on the U15 team in this year’s tournament. Our biggest wish is that they will play their best and constantly strive to surpass themselves. Hopefully, through this tournament, the young players will have the opportunity to compete and gain experience to become more mature, and in the future, they can become contributors to the Song Lam Nghe An first team,” - Mr. Tran Quang Dung shared.

Group of death

Although not as strong as previous years, U15 Song Lam Nghe An had to fall into the group considered the death group in the 2025 National U15 qualifying round.

Group E will include the following teams: host U15 PVF, U15 Dong A Thanh Hoa, U15 Song Lam Nghe An, U15 The Cong Viettel II and U15 Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center.

Evaluating the opponents in the same group, head coach Le Manh Huy said that this is a rather difficult group with the participation of teams with relatively even forces and well-trained. In particular, he praised the strength of U15 PVF: “There is no need to argue about the strength of the home team, for many years PVF has always been one of the leading football training centers in the country. Every season, their team always affirms its strength and is a leading candidate for the championship. And at the National U15 Tournament, U15 PVF is the defending champion of the tournament. Therefore, I think U15 PVF is the strongest team in this group.”

According to the competition format of the 2025 National U15 Championship, in the 6 qualifying groups, 6 group winners, 5 second-place teams with excellent results and the host team will compete in the final round.
