Vietnam U16 officially won ticket to AFC U16 Championship 2016

Vietnam U16 team has officially won a ticket to the 2016 AFC U16 Championship with the achievement of being the second-placed team with the best performance.

In the final match of the 2016 U16 Asian qualifiers yesterday, U16 Vietnam lost to U16 Australia 0-1 and accepted second place in the group.

This position makes the ticket to the final round of the tournament uncertain for coach Dinh The Nam and his team. Therefore, we have to wait until the other groups have finished before the fate of U16 Vietnam will be decided.

As a result, in no group did the second-placed teams have better results than U16 Vietnam, so our young team won a ticket to the 2016 AFC U16 Championship in India as the best second-placed team.

Among the 16 teams that won tickets, Vietnam also had Malaysia (first in Group G) and Thailand (second in Group H) as representatives of Southeast Asian football.
