On the afternoon of August 30, at the PVF Youth Football Training Center Stadium, the second leg of the 2025 National U17 Championship qualifying round continued with matches from Group B, which gathered 6 teams: PVF-CAND, SHB Da Nang, Luxury Ha Long, Dong A Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong and Song Lam Nghe An.

Entering the second round of the return leg, U17 Song Lam Nghe An only had to face U17 Luxury Ha Long - the team considered the weakest in the group. Previously in the first leg, the representative from Nghe An had won 8-0, so experts said that the chance for Luxury Ha Long to create a surprise was almost zero.

Although it was predicted to be “easy”, coach Hai Nam still showed caution when launching the strongest lineup with a 4-4-1-1 formation. The defense included Ngo Anh Duc, Quan Thanh Cong, Van Tu and Phan Dang Huy; the midfield included Nguyen Minh Thuy, Huy Hoang, Minh Loi, Ngoc Son and Van Lam; and the attack line was striker Van Sang.

The superiority in personnel and playing style helped U17 Song Lam Nghe An quickly take complete control of the game from the first minutes. The coherent coordination, high pressing and diverse finishing ability made Luxury Ha Long's goal constantly in a state of alarm.

After continuous attacks in the 5th minute, the Nghe An team opened the score of the match. After a cross from the right wing by Phan Dang Huy, the ball bounced to the right position for Van Sang to finish, opening the score for U17 Song Lam Nghe An.

Not stopping there, Ngoc Son continued to shine when he took advantage of the opportunity in the penalty area to score the third goal, ending the first half with a score of 3-0.
