U19 Vietnam had their phones confiscated and was banned from using Facebook.
Before officially competing in the 2015 Southeast Asian U19 tournament, coach Hoang Anh Tuan banned the Vietnamese U19 players from using cell phones and forced them to go to bed early.
U19 Vietnam is living with a very strict schedule. All activities and movements of the players must be approved by the coaching board, such as shopping, walking, or even snacks are closely managed by the coaching board to minimize negative impacts and affect the performance of the players.

Vietnam U19 players take advantage of social media during break time. |
Before the first match of the tournament, the U19 Vietnam players were asked to hand over their phones to focus fully on the upcoming matches. This can be understood because coach Hoang Anh Tuan did not want his players to "hold on" to their phones.
Going on social networks to "chat" in their free time is a habit not only of football players but also of most Vietnamese youth today. Therefore, having their only means of communication and entertainment taken away, Coach Hoang Anh Tuan's students were quite sad when they could not contact and talk to their relatives. However, all the players complied quite seriously and handed over their phones to the coaching staff on time.
It is known that this strict decision will be implemented until U19 Vietnam finishes its journey at this year's tournament. Thus, relatives of the players and fans of U19 Vietnam will no longer be updated with news directly from the players but will only be able to follow through the mass media.
At the 2015 Southeast Asian U19 tournament, U19 Vietnam is in Group B with East Timor, Singapore, Malaysia and Myanmar. U19 Vietnam will meet U19 East Timor (August 25), U19 Malaysia (August 27), U19 Singapore (August 29) and U19 Myanmar (August 31). All matches will take place at 6pm at the Lao National Stadium in Vientiane.
The goal that coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team set for this tournament is to reach the finals.
This year, U19 Vietnam is not receiving special attention like the time when Cong Phuong and Tuan Anh were present. Therefore, the pressure on Hoang Anh Tuan and his team has been somewhat reduced. However, that does not mean that U19 Vietnam can be complacent.
For two consecutive years, U19 Vietnam has stopped at the threshold of winning the championship. Therefore, if given the chance, U19 Vietnam will definitely want to change the color of the medal in Laos.
