U19 Vietnam excelled in the quarterfinals with an undefeated record
Excellently holding U19 Iraq to a draw in the final match of the group stage in the early morning of October 21, coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team have registered their name in the quarter-finals. This is also the first time U19 Vietnam has participated in the knockout round after 7 times participating in the AFC U19 Championship.
With just a draw, the second ticket of Group B to the knockout round will belong to Hoang Anh Tuan and his team after being unbeaten in the previous two matches.
However, this is not an easy task as U19 Iraq, although having qualified, is a very strong opponent compared to the red team.

The developments on the field showed that when U19 Iraq were the ones who organized more dangerous attacks than U19 Vietnam.
However, with perseverance and reasonable tactics, coach Hoang Anh Tuan's team neutralized all attacks from the white team to tie the score 0-0.
This score made the 3-1 victory of U19 UAE over U19 DPRK completely meaningless, and the 2nd ticket of Group B belonged to U19 Vietnam, which was well deserved.
The next opponent of Hoang Anh Tuan and his team will be the host U19 Bahrain. If they win this match, U19 Vietnam will win a ticket to the U20 World Cup next year.
