(Baonghean.vn) - Playing explosively in the second half, U23 Vietnam won against U23 Myanmar. This victory helped Mr. Park's students pass the U23 Asia qualifying round.

Of the 4 Nghe An players participating in the Vietnam U23 team competing in the U23 Asia qualifiers, only striker Van Dat was able to play from the start in this match.

Right after the opening whistle, the U23 Vietnam team flooded into Myanmar's field. Coach Park's students were awarded two consecutive corner kicks but could not convert them into goals.

Coach Popov's players played quite confidently and safely. They did not dare to push their formation because only a draw was needed for both teams to pass the qualifying round.

Although Vietnam's physique is somewhat superior to the opponent's, our team still chooses to play short balls, with technical one-touch passing. This is the familiar playing style of U23 Vietnam. In the match against Chinese Taipei, the red team also played in this style.

In the first minutes, U23 Vietnam was the team that controlled the game better, putting more pressure on Myanmar’s goal. However, the other team chose to play quite aggressively, so it was difficult for Mr. Park’s students to create unexpected passes.

Midfielder Hai Long played very well in the first match of the qualifying round and was in the starting lineup. He showed his quality and was the conductor in Vietnam's attacks.

Myanmar's sharp counter-attack from the 18th minute of the match forced Vietnam's defense to commit a foul in front of the penalty area, but Lwin Moe Aung's free kick did not pose a danger to Van Toan's goal.

In the middle of the first half, Myanmar gradually regained control of the game and put more pressure on the U23 Vietnam field. However, the pressure from the white team was not enough for them to make a difference. The grass field in Kyrgyzstan was very bad, so it somewhat affected the technical playing style of U23 Vietnam.

Because of the importance of the match, neither team took the risk of pushing up their formation, so even though it was the final minutes of the first half, no truly dangerous opportunities were created by either team.

Overall in the first half, Coach Park Hang-seo's players tried to dominate the game. In the first few minutes, U23 Vietnam wanted to take the lead and gain an advantage. However, with their strong physical strength and good ability to stick to the ball, Myanmar did not allow our team to get the ball close to their goal.

In the first half, the tempo was not pushed too high by both teams, so it did not create attraction for the viewers.

Entering the second half, just like the first half, U23 Vietnam was the team that pushed up their formation higher, Ly Cong Hoang Anh had a chance to test goalkeeper Pyae Phyo Thu with a shot from outside the penalty area but the ball went just a hair's breadth higher than the goal.

The striker who entered the field in the second half, Thanh Minh, had a straight run into the middle, however in the final phase, the substitute striker could not take the initiative, the ball regrettably went all the way across the field.

The adjustments of the Korean coach in the second half showed a better game for U23 Vietnam. Striker Thanh Minh entered the field to refresh the red team's attack. That also helped our team control the game better, creating more opportunities. And what Vietnamese fans were waiting for came in the 60th minute, from Hai Long's free kick, striker Thanh Minh jumped high to head the ball past goalkeeper Pyae Phyo Thu, opening the score for U23 Vietnam.

Having the lead goal boosted their morale, Mr. Park's students played with great versatility, their coordination was more coherent, creating many dangerous opportunities on the U23 Myanmar goal.

Coach Popov's students wanted to continue and had to get a draw, but U23 Vietnam played differently compared to the first half and did not allow Myanmar to have the ball to coordinate and develop on their field.

Myanmar tried to push up the formation, this was the opportunity for Mr. Park's students to counterattack the opponent. The U23 Vietnam team had many sharp counterattacks, causing the white team to continuously commit fouls and receive many penalty cards.

Too impatient and somewhat frustrated by the reasonable handling of the ball by U23 Vietnam, player Thet Hein Soe could not control himself, hit midfielder Hoang Anh and was sent off. U23 Myanmar was behind and was also playing with one less player, so this was an opportunity for U23 Vietnam to look for more goals.

Towards the end of the match, the red team created a number of scoring opportunities, but the final score of 1-0 was the result of the match.

Overall, in this match, U23 Vietnam has proven its class. In the first half of the match, our team played slowly, firmly, and stubbornly, not allowing the opponent to create any scoring opportunities. In the second half, Coach Park Hang-seo showed his great ability in commanding the team by sending Thanh Minh onto the field. The striker from Hue, with his mobility, strong and skillful playing ability, created more ways to approach the opponent's goal.

In this match, the two players who left a strong impression on Vietnamese fans were striker Thanh Minh, who scored, and midfielder Hai Long. Hai Long was the midfielder who played closest to the Vietnamese strikers, and he demonstrated his ability to organize and create. The group coordination, then transformed by Hai Long with passes that surprised the opponent's defense, created opportunities for our strikers to approach the U23 Myanmar goal.

With this victory, U23 Vietnam is the top team in Group I with 6 points after 2 matches and officially passed the U23 Asia qualifiers.
