FlyDubai's CEO has dismissed suggestions that the plane crash in Russia was a terrorist attack.

On the afternoon of March 19, FlyDubai Airlines of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) held a press conference about the plane crash that occurred earlier that day in Russia.

FlyDubai CEO Ghaith al-Ghaith has dismissed the theory that this was a terrorist attack. According to Mr. al-Ghaith, it is too early to speculate on the cause of this tragic accident.

“The captain of this flight has extensive experience with more than 5,900 flight hours and the co-pilot has more than 5,700 flight hours. I have not received any information that this was a terrorist attack or that there was a bomb on board. A team of experts from the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority will go to Russia and coordinate with the Russian authorities to investigate the cause of the accident,” al-Ghaith said.
