(Baonghean.vn) - Practically commemorating the 67th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2014), on July 21, 2014, a working delegation of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province led by comrade Nguyen Van Huy, Provincial Party Committee member, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, visited Truong Bon historical site in My Son commune, Do Luong district and the Vietnam-Laos International Cemetery in Anh Son district to visit the heroic martyrs.

At the Memorial of the heroic martyrs of the Youth Volunteers in Truong Bon, My Son commune, Do Luong district, the delegation offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs, expressing gratitude and remembering the great contributions of the martyrs to the cause of fighting to protect the Fatherland; thereby vowing to strive to unite all classes of people, build the homeland to be increasingly prosperous, worthy of the sacrifices of the martyrs of the Youth Volunteers.

At the Vietnam - Laos International Cemetery (Anh Son), the delegation entered the Uncle Ho Temple at the cemetery management board to burn incense and pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh; offered flowers and incense at the Memorial of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Laos, expressing gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices of the martyrs for the noble international cause. The delegation vowed to strive with the people of the province to successfully carry out the cause of renewing the homeland, constantly fostering solidarity and friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
Along with offering incense and paying respect to the heroic martyrs at Truong Bon and the Vietnam-Laos International Cemetery, the delegation of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province visited and presented gifts to the families of martyrs and outstanding people in the three districts of Do Luong, Anh Son and Nam Dan. A total of 12 gifts were presented, each worth 500,000 VND.
