Provincial Fatherland Front Committee launched a fund to support victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the "51st anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam" and the "Day for Vietnamese Agent Orange victims August 10", this afternoon, July 31, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee coordinated with the Provincial Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims to organize a ceremony to raise money to build a fund to help victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

Attending the launching ceremony were representatives of Military Region 4 Command, Provincial Border Guard Command, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, provincial departments, branches, sectors, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and Agent Orange Victims Association of 20 urban districts.

Currently, Nghe An province has more than 23 thousand people who are victims of Agent Orange/dioxin. They themselves have to bear the pain of long-term suffering, their children and grandchildren are deformed and deformed; many people are in a situation with no cure, in dire need of support, help and care from everyone and society.

The target of the campaign is the entire population, focusing on mobilizing civil servants, retired officials, businesses, armed forces, schools, hospitals, and philanthropists. The level of campaign is voluntary, depending on the kindness and generosity of everyone, agencies, organizations, and units. District level strives for 100% of organizations to support. The campaign will be launched from August and will be summarized in October this year.

All support and contributions can be sent to the Front Working Committee in villages, hamlets, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at commune and district levels, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province or deposited into account 51010000257186 of the Provincial Agent Orange Victims Fund at the Investment and Development Bank of Nghe An province.

At the launching ceremony, delegates participated in donating to support the fund to help victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.
