(Baonghean) - Nghe An Newspaper on August 9, 2014, and August 24, 2014, in the Hot Road Information section, posted the following news: "Currently, on National Highway 46 from Do Luong to Thanh Chuong through Da Son commune, the section from km 70 to 71 has seriously degraded, many sections have collapsed, causing traffic jams. The reason is that recently, this route has had many overloaded vehicles traveling, causing the asphalt surface to crack, collapse, and form 40-50 cm deep holes. Relevant sectors are requested to upgrade and handle oversized and overloaded vehicles traveling on this route"; "People in Da Son commune, Do Luong reported: Currently, the section of National Highway 15A from km 30 - km 32 through Da Son commune is seriously degraded, causing subsidence, traffic jams and traffic insecurity. The cause of the subsidence is that in recent times, oversized and overloaded vehicles have bypassed the weigh station, traveling from Dien Chau through National Highway 7 to Vinh City via National Highway 30, National Highway 15A and vice versa. Due to the high density of vehicles and the small roadbed, subsidence has occurred in many locations, creating dangerous deep holes. To ensure the safety of people and vehicles participating in traffic, traffic management units need to urgently intervene and handle the situation."

On September 6, 2014, the People's Committee of Do Luong district issued Official Dispatch No. 874/UBND in response to the issue raised by the newspaper, with the following content:

Receiving feedback from the Hotline Information section, the People's Committee of Do Luong district has checked the situation and verified that the issue raised in the newspaper is real. Although from the beginning of 2014 until now, Do Luong district police have handled 240 cases of overloaded and oversized vehicles passing through Do Luong district. However, the situation of overloaded and oversized vehicles still occurs, causing serious damage to the roads, making it difficult for vehicles to travel, and low-chassis cars cannot pass. On National Highway 46, at km71 - km72 through Da Son commune, Do Luong district, the road is seriously damaged, sinking into deep ditches and ditches, so vehicles participating in traffic are at high risk of overturning. National Highway 15 through Xuan Son commune, near the intermediate power station, the road is pressed up into a potato ridge.

To resolve the issue raised by the newspaper, the District People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 837/UBND-CTh dated August 28, 2014 on overloaded and oversized vehicles passing through National Highway 15 and National Highway 46 causing serious damage to the road, sent to the People's Committee of Nghe An province and the Department of Transport to consider setting up a weighing station on National Highway 46 and National Highway 15 in Do Luong district; at the same time, urgently repair damaged road sections that affect traffic and traffic safety.
