Do Luong District People's Committee handles complaints about Trang Minh road's degradation
(Baonghean) - Nghe An Newspaper issue dated December 29, 2014, in the Hotline Information section, posted the following news: “People in Minh Son commune reported: The road from Minh Son commune to Thanh Phong commune (Thanh Chuong) has been degraded for a long time, many sections have sunk, making it very difficult for cars and motorbikes to travel, greatly affecting people's trade. We request that relevant levels and sectors take measures to promptly remedy and repair it.”
Receiving feedback from the Hotline Information column, the People's Committee of Do Luong district has conducted a field inspection. On January 28, 2015, the People's Committee of Do Luong district issued Official Dispatch No. 86/UBND to respond to the newspaper's issue stating the following content:
Trang Minh route is 17.5 km long. The starting point intersects with National Highway 15A at Lung slope, Trang Son commune, the end point is Minh Son commune bordering Thanh Phong commune (Thanh Chuong), on the route intersects with National Highway 7A and many district roads, is one of the main routes of Do Luong district so there are many vehicles participating in traffic. On the other hand, the capital for road maintenance is low, so the road is degraded, with many potholes as reported in the newspaper is correct.
Currently, the District Project Management Board is implementing the project to repair and upgrade Trang Minh road.
To handle the situation of overloaded and oversized vehicles and damage to traffic infrastructure, the People's Committee of Do Luong district has consulted many instructions for localities and competent units to handle, such as: Official dispatch 07/CD-UBND dated June 23, 2014, on strengthening the control of cargo vehicle loads on roads in Do Luong district; Official dispatch No. 701/UBND.CTh dated July 23, 2014 on ensuring traffic safety in rural areas... However, due to limitations in technical means as well as task forces, the handling of overloaded and oversized vehicles on this route has not been thorough. In the coming time, the People's Committee of the district will direct functional branches, in coordination with the Department of Transport to strengthen inspection and handling.
