(Baonghean) - Nghe An Weekend Newspaper published on July 12, 2015 published an article “Ban Nong 2 longs for a bridge”, reflecting that every time the rainy season comes and flood waters rise, the residential area of Ban Nong 2, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district is almost isolated, students have to stay home from school because there is no bridge across the stream. On September 23, 2015, Que Phong District People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 973/UBND-CT to respond to the issue raised by the newspaper as follows:

Immediately after Nghe An newspaper published the article "Ban Nong 2 wishes for a place", the District People's Committee directed the Department of Industry and Trade to conduct a field inspection at Ban Nong 2, Tri Le commune, the inspection results are as follows:

- By May 2015, Nong 2 village had 26 households and 123 people; Nong 1 village had 64 households and 316 people. Traffic from Nong 2 village to Nong 1 village, Tri Le commune is divided by Nam Nghieu stream, about 0.5km from the location where people built a temporary bridge (as shown in the photo posted by Nghe An newspaper) towards the two villages. Nam Nghieu stream has a streambed width of about 8m, in the dry season the water level is low so it is possible to travel normally, but in the rainy season the water level fluctuates abnormally, causing danger to traffic, this is also a characteristic of traffic to mountainous villages, especially the high mountains of Que Phong district; During the time of high water separating the two villages of Nong 2 and Nong 1, the people of Nong 2 village can walk across the fields to Don, Chot, Lam and Nong 1 villages with an average length of about 1km to reach the commune center, but encounter many difficulties. Therefore, investing in building a bridge over Nam Nghieu stream connecting Nong 2 and Nong 1 villages is necessary, but requires a relatively large investment source (a bridge with a girder length of 12m, abutments at both ends of the bridge 2m, estimated cost of 1.2 billion VND).

Que Phong is a poor district, having difficulty mobilizing resources for investment, especially for urgent computer projects, so the investment in building Hot 2 bridge across Nam Nghieu stream could not be implemented in the recent period.

Given the actual situation and travel needs of the people, the People's Committee of Que Phong district has included the Nong 2 bridge project in the list of construction investment projects under Program 135 in 2016, and is currently conducting surveys and preparing documents according to regulations.

Que Phong District People's Committee would like to sincerely thank the newspaper for its timely feedback and look forward to your cooperation with the district in the coming time.
