After the newspaper reported, the District People's Committee directed an inspection and the incident reported by the newspaper was true. To promptly rectify the above situation, the District People's Committee issued directives and official dispatches, most recently Official Dispatch No. 16/CD-UBND dated July 22, 2014 on rectifying the management of sand and gravel exploitation, transportation and consumption in Thanh Chuong district.
At the same time, the District People's Committee is directing specialized departments to develop plans for sand and gravel gathering and trading yards, and to guide organizations and individuals who have the need to exploit and trade sand and gravel to survey and select locations to apply for exploration permits and mineral exploitation licenses, and license to operate yards in accordance with regulations. Currently, the Thanh Chuong District People's Committee is directing the Thanh Chi Commune People's Committee to coordinate with district-level specialized agencies to advise on a definitive solution to the situation reported in the newspaper.
