Yen Thanh District People's Committee responded to the issue raised by the newspaper
(Baonghean) - Nghe An Newspaper No. 9817, published on April 27, 2013, in the Hotline Information section, reported: "Recently, some people in Bac Son hamlet, Bac Thanh commune, lacked awareness and dumped garbage into the canal (Dao river carries Lam river water from Bara Do Luong to serve production and people's lives in Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, and Quynh Luu districts), causing environmental pollution and clogging the flow."
After the newspaper was published, the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district directed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the People's Committee of Bac Thanh commune to inspect and verify the reflected information and issued Official Dispatch No. 494/UBND dated May 12, 2014 to respond as follows:
- In the past, there was a situation where some households dumped waste in the wrong place near the Dao River bank. The People's Committee of Bac Thanh commune took measures to collect and treat waste, and organized the installation of signs prohibiting dumping waste in the Dao River bank area of Bac Son hamlet.
- Yen Thanh District People's Committee has directed Bac Thanh Commune People's Committee to deploy forces to collect and handle the amount of waste dumped in the wrong places in the area, especially along Dao River; Organize propaganda on the loudspeaker system and through hamlet meetings about environmental sanitation, especially mobilizing each household to build a garbage pit to treat waste at home; Assign the Commune Police Department to organize patrols and handle violations of dumping waste in the wrong places.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Bac Thanh commune, up to now, in the area reported by your Newspaper, there is no longer a situation of people dumping waste in the wrong place.
