(Baonghean) - After Nghe An Newspaper published on October 30, 31 and November 1, 2, 3, 2013 a series of articles: "Journey to find the truth about the Hoang Thien Long cult", on November 25, 2013, Yen Thanh District People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 1489/UBND.VHTT regarding the handling of the issue raised by the newspaper with the following content:

1. Department of Home Affairs: Coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and towns to review and count households and individuals participating in the Hoang Thien Long cult in the area; advise the District People's Committee on how to handle it.
2. Request the Propaganda Department, the Mass Mobilization Department of the District Party Committee, the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the heads of mass organizations, the Culture - Information sector: provide documents to guide and instruct localities on how to handle the situation; propagate and mobilize people to clearly understand the nature of this cult so that they do not participate; meet and contact key and extremist people to persuade, educate and mobilize them to abandon the cult.
3. District Police: Review, isolate subjects, collect documents and evidence of law violations to fight and handle; coordinate with the District Internal Affairs Department to advise the District People's Committee on handling plans.
4. People's Committees of communes and towns where Hoang Thien Long cult is active: Develop a plan to fight in the area; propagate on radio systems and through meetings to mobilize people to raise their vigilance, fight, prevent and not participate in the cult.
We respectfully request that the superior authorities thoroughly handle this cult in Ung Hoa district, not allowing those who take advantage of the gullibility of a part of the people to expand their area of operation and attract more and more people to participate, causing instability in Yen Thanh district in particular and the whole province in general.
