Provincial People's Committee directs the settlement of citizens' petitions

(Baonghean) - The Provincial People's Committee received a petition from Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Van, residing in Hamlet 16, Hung Loc Commune, Vinh City dated November 10, 2013, complaining about a number of issues related to the support plan and resettlement settlement for her family when the State reclaimed land to build the Cultural House in Hamlet 16, Hung Loc Commune, Vinh City, and at the same time requested that her family be allowed to postpone paying the amount according to the decision on land allocation for resettlement until there is a decision to resolve the complaint by the Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee (due to the slow settlement of the complaint).

On December 10, 2013, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 8827/UBND.KT on assigning the settlement of citizens' complaints to the Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee with the following content:

Regarding this case, on October 18, 2013, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 7378/UBND.KT, assigning the Vinh City People's Committee to report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee the results of handling the petition of Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Van before October 25, 2013 (the citizen had filed a complaint to the Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee on July 18, 2013), however, up to now, the Vinh City People's Committee has not yet issued a Decision to handle the complaint according to the provisions of the 2011 Law on Complaints.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee to issue a decision to resolve Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Van's complaint in accordance with the law, and at the same time resolve the citizen's petition to temporarily postpone payment of resettlement land plot fees until a decision to resolve the complaint is made by the competent State agency.
