Provincial People's Committee directs inspection of construction progress of inter-commune road in Thanh Chuong

(Baonghean) On February 6, Nghe An newspaper published an article "Project progress is slow, people suffer because of muddy roads" reflecting on the inter-commune road project from Phong Thinh to Thanh Hoa, Thanh Nho, Thanh Duc communes (Thanh Chuong) connecting to the Ho Chi Minh trail invested by Thanh Chuong District People's Committee with government bond capital, 15.8 km long, including 2 medium bridges and 4 small bridges, with a total investment of 57 billion VND. The project started in January 2010 and was expected to be completed in 24 months. However, up to now, for many reasons, the progress has slowed down, greatly affecting people's travel and daily life...

Regarding the above issue, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has directed the Chairman of the Thanh Chuong District People's Committee to direct relevant units to check the issue raised by Nghe An Newspaper. If the issue is as reported by the newspaper, the Thanh Chuong District People's Committee is requested to take timely measures to resolve and remedy the issue to ensure production and daily life of the people in the district. The results of the handling will be reported to the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Information and Communications before March 6, 2012.
