Provincial People's Committee meets to discuss solutions to difficulties for SLNA Football Club

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 8, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and related departments and branches had a working session with Song Lam Nghe An Joint Stock Company and Song Lam Nghe An Football Club.

Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - General Director of Song Lam Nghe An Joint Stock Company; representatives of the leaders of Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank.

At the meeting, representatives of the parties expressed their opinions on the operations of SLNA Joint Stock Company, finding sponsors for SLNA Football Club before entering the new season and solutions to overcome difficulties in youth training, improving the quality of human resources provided to the national team.

Accordingly, from October 31, 2009 to October 30, 2012, SLNA Joint Stock Company was established by Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank as a member unit of the bank. The main source of financial resources for operations is loans from Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank. On October 28, 2012, the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank and provincial departments on support for SLNA Joint Stock Company and SLNA Football Club. Immediately after that, the Provincial People's Committee issued Notice No. 645/TB-UBND-DT dated October 31, 2012 on support for the activities of SLNA Football Club, specifically on the financial mechanism as follows: Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank committed to continue to sponsor for the next 3 years (2013 - 2015) with a sponsorship level of 30 billion VND/year; The remaining part of the Provincial People's Committee supports 20 billion VND each year for youth football training.Thus, in the 3-year period from 2013 to 2015, the budget of SLNA Joint Stock Company was cut compared to previous years. However, with efforts to overcome difficulties, the SLNA team 1 in the years (2013 to 2015) completed the plan assigned by the provincial leaders to stay in the league and strive to be in the top 5 leading teams of the tournament. The youth teams overcame difficulties, played excellently, won high positions as well as the championship of U13, U17, U21... At the same time, SLNA's youth training center is still considered one of the leading football training centers in Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - General Director of SLNA Joint Stock Company pointed out the difficulties in the club's operations in recent times.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - General Director of SLNA Joint Stock Company said that up to now, the 3-year period (2013 - 2015) that Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank committed to sponsoring at the rate of 30 billion VND/year has ended. This means that the operations of SLNA Joint Stock Company continue to face difficulties. Financial competition to invest in the SLNA team's force is very limited, because the clubs participating in the V-League such as Becamex Binh Duong, Than Quang Ninh, Hanoi T&T ... all invest from 60 - 100 billion VND/year; many key players whose contracts with the club have expired such as Cong Vinh, Trong Hoang, Au Van Hoan, Van Binh ... have left the club, and in the coming years Hoang Thinh, Quang Tinh, Dinh Dong, Nguyen Manh, Phi Son ... greatly affect the competition lineup of the SLNA team 1; the material conditions for young players to live and work at the club are also facing many difficulties ...

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism gave her opinion on adjusting the support level for living expenses of SLNA youth team players.

A representative of Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank suggested that other businesses should join in and coordinate to strengthen the supervision of SLNA Joint Stock Company's activities to achieve the best investment efficiency.

At the meeting, representatives of the Department of Finance, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the North Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank also participated in discussing solutions to overcome difficulties and improve the quality of life and competition for the players of the youth team and the first team of SLNA.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts and achievements of SLNA Football Club, along with the concerns and responsibilities of the leadership of SLNA Joint Stock Company in the context of many difficulties. To resolve the difficulties, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture - Sports & Tourism to research and estimate the budget for renovating facilities and the diet and living conditions of the players, and submit it to the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee for consideration. Along with that, refer to and learn from the experiences of other localities to build an operating model of SLNA Football Club suitable to practical requirements.

Regarding the sponsorship plan for the club, the Provincial People's Committee Office was assigned to draft a document requesting Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank to continue accompanying SLNA Football Joint Stock Company. In addition, the province will call for funding from business units to join hands in building the province's football industry to develop more and more.
